TreadWright uses a remold manufacturing process that is nearly identical to new tire manufacturing. The process starts with a premium casing (Goodyear, Michelin etc.) that has passed a complete integrity inspection. The tread is buffed from the casing and sidewall, then uncured rubber is extruded onto each casing. The tire is placed into a high temperature press to allow the rubber to cure during vulcanization. TreadWright tires have reinforced sidewalls which offer additional strength and puncture resistance. They are completely remolded to look and perform like new tires. We use a commercial grade rubber compound which has proven to provide up to 25% more tread life than comparable imports.
